Help me choose a seat color

I picked up some ratty Turbo II seats for my first gen that are going to get reupholstered while I'm doing the engine. The car is the dark grey (Tornado Silver) with black interior.

I'm pretty set on microsuede, it feels better than cloth. No leather or vinyl because of the Texas summer. And because of that, I don't want black or other dark colors.

A friend of mine has a 350Z like this:

I like the orange/tan and was thinking of a tan color but it looks a lot better in leather than microsuede.

Then I saw this FD online:

Even though I don't like two tones, this works (maybe cause it's an FD).

Opinions? Other color options?

My car when it was in one piece:

2 tone FTW. I know you didn't want black... but it will rock.

+1 on the two tone. i really like that look. it's nice and clean.

How about black/tan 2 tone like this S2000 CR? It's kinda like my stock seats were, but lighter.

2 tone would be the only way to pull off a different color seat in a black interior car. Black bolsters with nice grey or silver seat cushion. Of course you could just go all black and just tint your windows dark

I'd go with the two tone. Black with maybe a microsuede that comes as close as possible to the Tornado Silver?

I'd go with the tinting either way.

I would go with a dark gray cloth/ultra suede for the centers. Some sort of material that doesn't stick to the bare skin. Same thing for the side parts only in black. I've never sat in an ultra suede seat, prefer cloth over leather any day.

As in my avvie:

Black vinyl back, black piping, silver/grey ultrasuede surround, wine ultrasuede center/details. I would have preferred the grey be somewhat darker, but it's what I could find at the time.

(The brown leather shiftboot & e-brake boot weremuch darker when I first made them. I should dye them black.)

my pick

The black and grey two-tone looks best. I think that would be the perfect choice for black interior too.

those s2000 seats, black/tan 2 tone, were reeeall nice....you should definitely do your seats like that

Heres the seats I ended up getting. The two tone is really nice. Recaro speed's, reupolstered, black leather and grey suede down the centers. The seat back tilt adjustment is even rotor shaped!

so I went for the black/tan 2 tone in cloth, after hearing that some microsuede gets worn easily and I didn't want to get stuck with that. The black is an OEM-type lightly textured cloth and the tan is like a velour.

Nice so someone in Austin did that?
