Help!! Commercials have taken over my computer
Finding threads is just about impossible anymore, there's all these commercials. Are you guys having the same problem?
|
commercials?? u mean pop ads? either way i see none. u have a popup blocker right?
|
If you're talking about the huge T-shirt ad at the top of every page, then yeah, it's pretty freaking annoying. Other than that, Adblock takes care of everything for me.
|
Ah, the joys of adblocker! PercentSevenC knows what's up, I actually forgot there are ads on the internet. No joke, I went on youtube on a friends computer who doesn't use any add-ons and I wondered why there were things all over the place telling me to buy...
|
I've got all those add blockers, this stuff is forum-specific.
I'm talking about the T-shirts. They take up half the page, kind of interrupts the whole clicking/scrolling thing. Are they really necessary? Also I'm needing to sign on every time I try to open the forum page. This happening to any of you guys? Maybe I've been black listed? |
lol I am not having to sign back on, the shirts I suspect will be gone in a day or so
|
firefox + adblockerplus = win
|
The big tee shirt ad is most annoying!
I'll make sure I don't buy....just because I'm so annoyed.:egrin: |

And website owners wonder why people want to block their ads... |

I think they stopped it..
|
Maybe it's the government trying to tell Ray to be a bigger consumer. Come on Ray, help the economy out.
|
Its still showing up the first time you visit after leaving for a bit.
Thanks god for ABP so i can just block it all out! |
Yes it looks like they corrected it, now the add only shows up once on the main page when you open the forum. Much better than being half the page of everything you look at.
I don't mind hawking a few rotary tee shirts, I'm all for helping out the economy and fellow rotor heads. But overdone adds just annoy, they aren't going to convince anybody. Thanks to those in charge for making it right! |
o didn't know u were refering to the t-shirt ad. yeah i too thought it was a bit extreme when i first saw it.
