ok so i have a wrecked gsl...the suspension is all good...i bought a gs...i want to get the suspension off the gsl and put it on my gs cuz the gs's one is making weird noises and is unsafe..i kno how to do the back but i wanted to see if someone can tell me or even give some pictures on how to take the struts off the front to put them on the other one..also what tools i might need..thanks guys..

The struts are the same between the S, GS and GSL models. You only need to swap them if they are better. Depending on the condition of the springs and other wear parts, it's easier to swap the entire strut assembly. This can include the lower control arms if the ball joints are tighter or have less mileage.

about 6 bolts to be removed, if you have removed brake line already. a nice ratchet set with metric sockets and a metric wrench set

ok so...i dont need any type of shock pressurizer or anything like that? someone told me that in order to take the strut assembly off i needed a speacial pressurizer because the shock or whatever will shoot out like a bullet

that's false.

I have taken mine off ricently, jack up your car, when you do this the spring is already in it's full release.

You then undo the 2 bolts holding the assambly at the buttom, turning the stearing wheel will help you access them.
Then undo the 4 bolts at the top.

Repeat on the other car.

When puting it back together put the lower bolts in first.
Depending on condition of you car, i would recomand using a pipe to unscrew the lower 2 bolts. If you have a lift and air tools use that. I couldn't get my air hammer on the screws so i used a long pipe on the rachet to do the job.

You only need to compress the springs if you want to replace the springs.

I forgot to mention that having someone inside the car holding the stearing wheel will help you a bit as well ;) leaves the stearing wheel unlocked as well while unscrewing the lower two bolts or you can end up breaking something you don't want.

You'll only need a spring compressor if you want to disassemble the strut. If you take that top nut off the strut without having a spring compressor holding the spring's tension off the parts, then yes, it can explode and take out your eye... or your head... or anything else that gets in the way.....

well i went yesterday and took the wheels off...the rotor was extremely rusty so i jus left it where it was at and took all the things off the back
