Hamburger in what?
With apologies to Jimmy Buffet, What a paradise that must be!
From Atkins 6 rib belt system for first gens: "You will still be able to use your power steering & air conditioning. Simply place your stock ac pulley on top of our main engine pulley, then the power steering on top of that one. Mount them like a hamburger in heat. Engines pre-1986, the main pulley will be able to go on in four different variations, engines 1986+ you will only be able to put the main pulley on one way." Did any part part the instructions seem odd to anyone? I'm trying to get to sleep and now I can't for I have no idea how to "mount a hamburger in heat" or what this even means. I get the stacked pulleys. What a description. |
Atkins are good folks, trust them, they are very good and knowledgeable when it comes to rotaries.

No doubt about Atkins, I just find the verbiage peculiar.
|
You've been on the forum for 15 years and you find that verbiage peculiar?
From reading the description myself, I transliterate it onto them simply telling you to stack the pulleys like stock, or like a hamburger with all the fixins (toppings, condiments). Does that make sense? |
That verbiage is pretty normal to them. https://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/S...-Lowering-Kit/ https://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/E...fler-Bearings/ |
Any reviews or feedback on going to a wider ribbed belt setup over our standard double v-belt?
Franklin also makes a nice set: https://franklineng.co.nz/collection...rotary-engines I do not have PS or AC and have deleted my air pump... Running a twin alternator pulley but find I always need quite a bit of tension to stop squeal at higher RPM's, especially on warm days with the stock mech fan. |
