Guy wants 13,000...is that any where near a fair price?

It's a 1971 r100 with a turbo II swap

1971 mazda r100

I told him we could talk about 5000 maybe, if I had to chance to check the car out and it was in good shape. I just cannot see this going for 13,000..

Any one else have thoughts on a ballpark price for this?

Clean R100's are expensive so yeah it's they go for IMO

I have seen R100's in the $30k range. $13k for a nice looking turbo R100 sounds reasonable to me.

If I had the cash I would scoop this up in a heartbeat!!!!! 5K is w/o a doubt a lowball offer, I wouldn't even entertain it.... She's a beauty

You'd think for that price he could have at least left the radio in it.

That must be one of those fancy air-cooled rotaries that you never hear about.

Oh wait *reads fine print* "all it needs its a radiator to drive"

Gorgeous car tho, i'd say worth the asking price, more so if it was actually driveable.

j9fd3s 08-12-13 11:36 AM

or the radiator... if it ran, i think his price is in the ballpark, however, it doesn't have a radiator in it, cause it wont fit, because the R100 can't fit a 13B, without cutting stuff

probably just as well, its a teeny car with no brakes, 300hp is probably frightening

You have to wonder about someone selling a setup that is almost complete, but doesn't bother to follow through with something as "simple" as a rad install. There's more to this than meets the eye.

And like j9fd3s, a street ported TII swap in an R100 brings up the image of Wile E. Coyote on roller skates with a rocket strapped to his back and lit match in hand.

the most fun/frightening (funtaning?) rotary car i've ever driven was my friends 76 Rx3. its like a danish cookie tin with 200hp, and no brakes = exciting!

to make an FD that exciting you need to buy one with problems take it to a shop, and get the repair bill.

I also found myself wondering exactly what that intercooler's going to accomplish, what with the hood sitting right across the top of it an' all.

Heh...somebody must've bought it...the ad's been deleted.
