Front Spoiler help needed
 

So I have this full-sized front airdam, with holes for fog/driving lights etc etc . (see link below).
I know how it "hangs" on the car using front marker lights and the wheel arch -

My question is how to attach it.
(pref. in a way it can be taken off for repairs)

I've had this piece for several years - I called Bl Dragon for instructions - the nice gal on the other end looked it up and said: "have professionally installed at a body shop" - not much help

That looks like it could either be rivited on or molded on. If it is a race car, you can probably get away with the no BS rivited look.

You need to line it up with the car and see how it fits. Maybe it uses factory mounting points.

No on OEM mounting, and not a race car. (autocross - thus the possiblity of repair)
Molding on would prob be a pain to remove. rivits - maybe yes - but where?
Hoping I can find someone here who has one (and installed it) - I know there are (were) lots of these around.

honestly, it probably recommends to use double sided tape for installation.

I have that dam, and the best way to mount it IMO is with 4 screws.

Put it on the car, and adjust it to fit exactly where you want it, then drill 2 holes per side into the flat curve that runs up the inside of the wheel arch. The dam is about 1in wide here and the stock fender has a very nice metal lip to screw into.

Don't bother putting any screws in the front, you will destroy the lower part of the lip before the tabs that hold the whole dam up will break (in the turn signal cutouts).

Zip ties are OEM equipment for most old Japanese cars.

The way this particular air dam interfaces with the body make the idea behind zip ties pointless. If you hit something with it the zip ties aren't going to break and allow the air dam to fly off unscathed. Trust me on this one :)

Flight of Pain has it nailed Jeffy. Screws into the leading edge of the wheel well. That also makes it removeable for cone repair. :)

You going to be out cruising at the Metro cruise this weekend? I'm currently doped up from foot surgery I had a couple days ago, but the wife might sit my ass somewhere along 28th street so I can watch the cars go by. lol.....

My brother and I got the same front bumper installed on one of his fb's a few years ago. The guy at the body shop put two screws on each side in the wheel wells, and one screw under each turn signal. It has been on the car for about 4 years now without any problems.

I suspected a few screws/washers in the wheel arch but was not sure if that would be enough.
