Drum Brake issues
The inside edge of the drums are rubbing against backing plate. What could I have done wrong? Could the axle bearings be pressed in too far? Too much Por15 on the backing plate? Help please

Is there play in your axel? Maybe its not bolted down all the way?

Are they the drums that came off the car? Early SA drums had a backing plate with a lip. The correct drums have a groove machined in the perimeter of the back face which the lip fit into. Helped keep water out I believe. Later drums were just flat across the back face w/out the groove and will rub on a backing plate with the lip when installed. The early brake drum has the SA prefix 8871 in its P/N, the later is FA01.

Here's some pic's of the drums I referred to. The number cast into the grooved drum is: 8871-26-251 while the groove-less has 8871-26-251B.
