Dont know if anyone here remembers me? or not, its been a while

But I may be back here soon, depending on if I can find a 1st gen. Im gonna go look at another 2nd gen vert soon. If you remember me, sound off if you got a 'pair'

Hey Mike,

Welcome back. I remember you, of course. I think that all of the veterans do. Forget the vert..get another FB! :) If you get a 1st gen, are you going to leave it stock or build another monster? :D

Yea man I remember you from way back in the day. I bought a IMSA air dam from you like 6 years ago and talked to you about your turbo FB project from time to time. Now I'm building my own turbo fb haha.
Glad to see you are still around!

Hey guys, i've been looking for another one somewhat close to me. I want to keep the driving to about 200 miles, but seems all the good ones are far away. Id love to find something around, nashville tn, st. louis Mo, Indianapolis, louisville, Ky . something in that circle would be great. Cheap is great, and running isnt really a priority, as long as its not a Frankenstein project. Around here parts are getting real hard to find so complete is important.

What I mainly want is one with damn little to no rust. As far as what Id like to do to it, Im still in decision. I really dont know if I will for go the expense of a job like last time. Although 12a turbo would be sweet. But I dont want to admit what will probally get put in it, I mean you got to admit 300hp for about $800-$1000 is attractive...

If anyone runs across something in that driving range, let me know.

get an SA

SA > all

MIKE-P-28 05-09-08 04:44 PM

Im a looking, but I want something I can work with. 90% of what I see is rusted to hell, or hacked up in some affect for drifting or something. Theres several nice ones around, including a pretty good looking low mileage one in st. Louis, but its kinda out the price range. Be nice to find a 84-85 (GSL) (I want the LSD , bigger bearings and install new 1/2 shafts for the 114.3 lug pattern) , do the new rotors for the front for the 114.3 so Im not stuck looking for archaic wheels. Something not rusted and in the 100k mile range, so everything isnt completely worn out. Running is a plus , but not neccessary. If running Id like to try a rebuild and a turbo again, if not its getting the mid 90's 5.0 302 I have here.

Lots of options and some of the paths I have been down. Im not crazy about that $1500 for a rebuild kit one :) And not gonna do the Cosmo craziness like last time. I spent about 12k on that car :)

So you guys that look around, if you see soemthing in the circle of cities I listed , let me know PLEASE!

OH yeah forgot, its gonna have to have the sunroof :)

welcome back Mike. I used to just read your posts and drool. I went to a third gen single turbo car and now I want to build a turbo gsl like your old car so I will be rereading your old posts for info.

MIKE-P-28 05-14-08 05:34 AM

Im in fort Branch, not Fort Wayne, theres about 6 hours of travel time north between us :)

Seen an 84-85 GSL on the way to work today. had a For sale sign in it, chased him down IN-168 for a couple of miles and then had to turn around, I had to be at work at 6 pm.

Anyways, have money in hand. :)
Still looking :)

dbragg 05-14-08 07:53 AM
