Ah Im venting to you all because my Rx7 is in my garage and has been since september... I was going to turbo it and even bought a kit but now Im in so deep I don;t know what to do. I just don't have time for a project car right now. I bought a rebuilt motor and turbo kit and now I have to get lines made and custom work done and I don't even know what to do or where to go to get them made. Im stuck with a civic right now and I really miss my rotary engine whine.

The motor is not functional right now because i removed the water pump and radiator etc. Im tempted to just sell the motor and kit and just buy the radiator and pump and get her back on the road.

All great things take time patience and money. If you are strapped for cash and the car is not a nuisance wait until you have money. If you sell your kit etc you will regret selling it. Hang in there you are close.

I've been working on my FC for 6 years now. Built it three times over and wasn't happy because I rushed each time. I am now taking the time, spending the money in the right places and I know it will be worth it in the end.

Have patience. You have a second vehicle, and if the FB isn't taking up resources (space, money, etc) then just hold onto it.

If you need the money, then I can understand selling the kit - but dont sell the kit to fund civic parts - I'll find you.. and beat you. :)

Hang in there bro. Breath and tackle one thing at a time. I am the midst of doing a huge project one that commenced 6 months ago. I haven't driven the car in 3 months. I know the pain... I want to flog the car in the canyons again... I am not whole until I can drive her.

I had all the parts for my GSLSE Suspension, respeed brake upgrade, solid bushing at all 4 corners. all these parts sat and collected dust. Then I got the rims... then tires... then flares....

I was looking at the car... then humph focused on the vision and tackled the hardest parts first.

rebuild the diff, install bushings in the Control arm, installed the longer studs. Installed the axle into the car.

Installed the flares on the rear.

You can do it. Just take baby steps... It can be alittle overwhelming. But once you accomplished your goal... you will have the biggest grin on your face.

wow...didnt realize there was so many people doing long over haul projects. as they all say (as if you need it re-iterated) good things take time. Im now on year 3 of my build and i've only driven the car twice (both times i shouldnt have) so in all essence i'll be at atleast 4 years before im done.

My only advice for you is; do it once, do it right. The cheapest, fastest and best way to do something right is the first time... :)

I got a s4 TII motor last december, still sitting in my "tool" shed waiting to be cleaned and rebuilt to go into my car, which is sitting there waiting for me to finish the cooling system. Most good builds on a car take a couple years. Dont let those t.v. shows fool you, they have money, a shop with every tool, a big staff with tons of experiance and editing on there side. Shows like trucks and the others on power block (Spike), those builds take months, even if it only took two shows to do.

Ohhh man, I feel your pain!!

I've been working on my FC for several years now. My original plan was to build a BP + T66 monster, and then downgraded to a SP + 60-1 turbo. After several years of working on it, and dumping $$$; I am very close to finishing it (End of 2008?) At this point, I have been VERY close to selling the turbo manifold, turbo, wastegate, blow off valve; and sell the stock turbo setup on the FC, and go wild with a NA setup...

As others have stated, I would probably regret it, if I got rid of everything!

Yep same here. I have a '78 RX-7(03/78) that I was doing a GSL-SE swap into. After I fixed all of the rust on the interior (took a year to complete) I swapped the full suspension and brakes to GSL-SE and started on the interior.

Then two weeks ago I got an '84 GSL-SE. So since I now have a fully stock GSL-SE I don't want another one. I have a wrecked but fully intact 2nd gen sitting at home. I put two and two together and have started on the '78 with the 2nd Gen Interior and TurboII motor!

This is the old GSL-SE setup that I am pulling out for the TurboII and 2nd Gen Interior swap.

Like mentioned plenty of times Take Your Time and do not rush anything! I have been working on my '78 SA now for 3 Years and she is still no where close to completion. But she will get there surly but slowly so I can ensure that everything is done right and not half rigged. BTW yes I am going to use the door panels too. I will have to calculate the trimming but the door vents will be used!

you can have it cheap and returned quickly but it wont be reliable, you can have it reliable and returned quickly but it wont be cheap, or you can have it relaible and cheap but it wont be returned quickly. you can have it cheap, reliable, or fixed quick. pick 2. just be patient and understanding and you will reap the seed that you sow.

hang in there buddy. i rarly get to work on my car because of money and i dont know what to do on it because my dad is not home at night to work on it with me and on week ends my mom makes my dad drive every where and he is to sleepy at night to work on it with me.
