Best toy I have had - 85 FB

I am new to the RX7 - really never gave them much thought. I have had a '77 Celica Gt that was clean....a '68 LaMans rag top, and a '67 Firebird 400 long block - Muncie - Holly 750 2Pumper--------------none of them were as much fun as the RX7 I just bought. All these years I have missed out on the fun..(O.K. the Firebird was cool, but not as much fun to drive)

I wish someone had told me about the RX7 years ago. The one I just bought was alomos by accident. I had been looking at a '78 280Z 2 seater, but I was a little nervous about some of the repairs/replacements that had been done. I ran accross the RX7 - all stock by the way- and as soon as I drove it, I almost forgot about the Z. I liked the car so much, I drove it to a friends house to have him find a reason for me NOT to buy it. Neither of us could come up with a reason and now I am hooked!

RX-7: A drug worth having.

We're looking to open the Rotary Clinic but The Doc is slacking on the building plans.

Fun

Funny how addictive it is. I have already been looking on the .net for another one. It has only been a week. My wife would kill me!!

I used to laugh at you guys while driving my muscle cars, but I guess the joke was on me! I bought this thing as weekend toy, but it looks like it will become the daily drive -----the Trailblazer is on vacation for a while.

Can't wait 'till tomorrow so I can drive to work again.

Where in SC are you? How close to Myrtle Beach?

I'm also a huge fan of my '85 (although I prefered the interior of my '83). Welcome to the forum!:icon_tup:

I'm a big fan of muscle cars like the old school camero, baracuda, gto etc but the RX-7 just happens to be a very unique car that isn't like anything I've ever driven hence the love :) +1 to engineering uniqueness.

make sure you post some pics of this amazing RX-7!!! i was hooked at the first sight of the 7! i remember being in high school and seeing them on the road here and there and lusting over them! i bought the first one i saw. looking back on it, the car was beyond saving due to rust but i loved it just the same.
