Aftermarket Steering Wheel
So I just got off a live chat with Summit Racing to inquire about a steering wheel and adapter kit for my SE. Turns out, they don't sell the adapter kit anymore (at least not for Lecarra). Why is it so difficult to find a BURGUNDY colored aftermarket steering wheel with a matching adapter kit? The guy told me that I would have to fabricate something. Unbelievable!

Which steering wheel are you looking at? Most of the aftermarket ones use the same bolt pattern, meaning you could use a Momo etc hub. Not sure if that matches what you're going for visually, but it definitely works :)

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at the Lecarra mark IV. With wanting the burgundy color to match my interior, I am really limited on selection. Definitely do not want red.
So are you saying that a momo adapter will work with this steering wheel? |
Post a question about it in the ITEM on Summit and ask if you can use a MOMO hub as that steering wheel has a 9 hole mount..MOMO has SIX.

Ok thanks. I also like this one in the link below, but I don't know anything about Flashpower steering wheels, or if there is an adapter to make it work.

Maybe this will help. It shows RX-7 hubs for their steering wheels.

Thanks. I saw this. It calls for a 15502 adapter. So I called LeCarra and asked them what is the deal with the 15502 number? They said that it is a discontinued number, and there's a new part number. Apparently the guy at Summit Racing did not know about it.
I guess I'm good to go now. I would like to have a few opinions on keeping the size the stock 15" or go to a 14". I'm leaning toward keeping the size stock. Thanks! |
