Hotwater labs

I went with HotWater Labs ? Home 1st gen all LED kit, pretty easy to install, does entail removing complete headlight and covers for your car.
Unfortunately they no longer offer the FB kit, only the FD kit. Bummer, was expensive but has a unique look. https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generati...-kits-1077045/ |

The plug type is not the reason for using the harness. The reason for using the harness is because of current drain through the old column wiring. Using the relay harness means the column wiring is only supplying the trigger. Plus, the replays add a bit of protection from current drains.
I'm not a fan of that Hot Water Labs stuff. It doesn't suit these cars at all. Also the price- holy moly they're so ridiculously expensive:eek::eek::eek::eek: |
The answer is Jeep 7" LED or HID kits. I can't believe you guys are overthinking this so much. My bonkers setup is switchable up to 19k Lumens for main lights and 5k corner lights in factory housings. Pretty much the brightest car on the road/mountain once it's done.

At least once a year I have to drag out my old thread from 2014 about this very topic.

Update:
I have installed the H4 on my car. They do well. Very bright. The wires are warm to the touch. My guess is that there is a small short in the what I wired up. I will go through it this weekend. I don't have high beams currently but I believe that it is due to my stock switch not the wiring. It was bad before. The only true problem I have come across is that my alternator does not put out enough power to run the headlights and charge the battery. This will cause problems if I need to drive at night for a long period of time. I found people are using the FC alternator that puts out 70 amp or 80 amps over the 50 amps from the stock one. Hope this is helpful for everyone rkegley97 |

Yes, I got one off amazon. It came with everything to make it work. The bulbs are Halla with 60w low beam and 100w high beam. The harness connects to the stock system so there is less wiring to do.

Update:
I have done some research and placed proper fuses in the wiring harness I bought off amazon. I have come to the conclusion that the harness I bought was too small in the wire gauge. I have ordered a harness from the company I bought the lights from. They build them custom in house for their clients. I am awaiting the harness now. I bought them from a company based in PA. They are super nice and easy to work with. I will link them below. I did plug the Hella E codes into my stock wire set up. They do work but still dull due to the lack of power. I will update when I have the harness and how the lights are at night. Anyone swapped to 4 smaller round headlights? 2per housing to reduce the "popped-up" height?
