If it is a properly done convertible conversion I would jump on due to the rarity of it.
its an actual original conversion done when new.
If thats a conversion done right after it was new then i would be all over it!!!!
It says it's a Pacific Avatar conversion. Is there a way to verify it? I remember reading that they had serial numbers on them somewhere. It's a deal for $2500 as a collectors car.
Take it, thats the first convertible fb i see anywhere
If you have the money buy it. Make sure it's as solid as possible beforehand though. Chances are the seller doesn't really know what he has since those are extremely rare and can probably fetch a higher price in worse condition.
i would only buy it if it were an actual Pacific Avatar conversion
'Luck - rare find!
If you DO buy it PLEASE post lots of PICS!!!!! Would love to see how it was put together. Does it have an actual trunklid?? only the later conversions did IIRC. Does it have a ROOF? Tonneau cover is pretty neat regardless... Stu Aull 80GS Alaska |
I thought that the Avatars had different (Weds?) wheels. Anyhow it still looks cool. Offer $1,500 and see what happens.
Someone on the site had this one, and I think was trying to sell it awhile back.

do so me research and find out what the vin code is for the PA. i'd get it in a heartbeat.
It could be a global coach too. Either one is worth it I would think

Also I believe they used a top from a Mercedes... 480? I don't know the model number.
Pacific Avatars were all aftermarket, weren't they? Would there be a VIN relationship?
According to what I've read elsewhere, true PA's have an x-shaped underbrace added to the framing, and other added structure. |
