Hello! Has anyone supercharged their 12a with a 7in Camden supercharger with a Weber DCOE 45 carb?

That's awesome.

What car is this in? Looks like a triumph spitfire maybe?

Thank you! Yes, you are correct. It is a 1977 Triumph Spitfire.https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...e3de5a8fc3.jpg

Thanks! Looking for someone who has done something similar for tuning suggestion.

Hey looks like we're practically neighbors. I live over in Poulsbo and recently installed a Camden on my ol' school 4 port, street ported 13B with S5 high compression rotors. I'm running a Dellorto which is similar to your setup. Mine is not quite fully dialed in but I'm getting very close. Street drivability is excellent and smooth just need to fine tune starting and full throttle. Waiting on additional parts from Italy.

That's a really nice setup you have. Hurry up and make a thread for it. :)

Very nice! Any issues with fuel octane with the high compression rotors?

With the high compression rotors 92-93 octane gas is a requirement especially with running the Camden. I was out at the Atkins Meet in Eatonville several weeks ago and Dave Atkins recommended also adding in octane booster to the gas to guard against preignition.

What intake is that? Im running a holley right now on mine, but have hood clearance issues.

The upper manifold is for side draft carbs such as Dellorto and Webber DCOEs. Are you having carb or air cleaner clearance issues?

Fun Fact:
You can touch the ground while sitting in a Triumph Spitfire. A friend of mine used to have one and he'd light his cigs by striking matches on the ground out the window.

What kind of performance times are you running with a supercharger?

l solved the hood clearance issue with a cold air intake for the Holley on my Camden, lol 😂

Belt slip is an issue when you start going to smaller pulleys. I’m getting one coated for grip this year.

My best dyno was about 220 at the wheels, combine that with methanol and 488 gears I made it into 13’s in the quarter (be half second quicker at sea level).

before any turbo guys flame, I know what a big turbo can do. I was committed to the supercharger long before I learned, but I do enjoy it.

The sound and the scoop really turns heads and makes thumbs point upward

Gonna try a 50 shot of nitrous after the cabinite pulley coating and better clutch
