(FUEL) Replacement GSL-SE injector wiring connectors
 

Hey guys, I need some help.

Is there a replacement connector for the fuel injectors? The part that clips on to the top of them from the wiring harness?

While removing them to send the fuel injectors away for repair, one of them was very very brittle. It broke right in half.

Is there some one that carries these? Or should I try and find another wiring harness and scavange the part off of it?

Part # for the injector plug with wires is 2-17427 Thru Napa. Brand is Echlin.

You may be tempted to solder your new wiring, don't. Solder is great on all electrical except when going to things that have resistance values. Just use the standard butt connectors and heat shrink over the top.

The local napa didnt have the part and are currently investigating if they can order it in. They said it comes up as a "wire connector"

Think its the right part?

when i worked at napa the computer has a picture of the 99% of the time, the other 1% we'd go to the giant echlin book which has pictures of every part number. if they didn't have a pic they're just being lazy.

Yes that is the correct number and yes they can order it. :-)

Bosch injector clips off of many of the Fords work too. Just make sure the notch for the tab is in the correct position. Those are easy to find in any salvage yard and don't have the stupid metal clip. Friend of mine gave me a bag of them that he saved doing recall work as a Ford line mechanic at the dealership.

You can also use part #27427 from Borg Warner (BWD). I found them at O'reilly auto for $4.69 each and they had them in the local warehouse. Mine will be here at 2:30 today. I crossed the Napa number provided by RX-7 Doctor on BWD's website since it is the brand O'reilly carries and they are 5 minutes away.
