nothing or if you must have a spoiler the factory IMSA one available on some 84-85 cars. I'll have to get a pic up later for ya.

WanKeL FD RX-7 12-23-02 10:34 PM

thanks man

AdrenalifeRX7 12-24-02 01:21 AM

Get an APR full carbon fiber wing and be the first to demonstrate this form of rice on a first gen to us all so we can see what it looks like. LOL.

thorin 12-24-02 01:29 AM

The 3-piece wraparounds ... (I were a factory option at on point, but I'm not sure about that) ... but I'd like to get one of those someday.

Manntis 12-24-02 01:30 AM

I might get crucified for this, but I think the factory spoiler off a new Celica might suit the car...

Adsy01 12-24-02 01:36 AM

IMO no wing looks best! but some people have the need for them for track day's ect...

heres mine

Richard Miller 12-24-02 02:03 AM

I have the gtu style wing. not installed yet but I have it. small low profile wings look best.

12aPwr 12-24-02 02:14 AM

Adsy you have one of the baddest spoilers on a 7 that ive ever see, except for a double decker aluminum one that i saw once haha j/k

the ricer wing doesnt look bad at all on that thing, althought it is crosssing over to the ricer side, but hey if your car looks fast... and it it fast then i dont think it should be considered ricer...

picture this in solid black, well thats my future spoiler. I think it might be from a Supra, but meh, spoilers will never help me enough to be essential so i'll go one with looks.

the whole body kit is pretty nice

Those look familiar... Kinda like mine! :p:

Well, like my hon-duh's rims.... by the way, what are they worth in a 15" version (like mine)

They're American Racing 5 spoke aluminum mags... 15", I have no idea on the width or offset, or anything like that...

Its only rice if it doesn't serve any purpose but the wing on that one does. Its a pretty nice car. It has a N/A 13b sideported(I don't know what they call that in the states. basically just the intake and exhaust ports opened up) with the weber side draft.

djmickyg 12-24-02 06:23 PM

whats thats pannel in the middle of the lights?

onepointone 12-24-02 06:34 PM

79+80_rx-7, ya know, it wouldnt look too bad if it didnt stick out so far off each side. actually, i think it would look good

I can never remember if it was a factory or a dealer option, but they were available on some S3's. I have one if anyone is interested in buying it.

snakes99 12-24-02 07:18 PM

would that fit on my 85 gs? i was looking for one for a while, i thought they looked pretty damn cool. what would you want for it?

It was part of a kit made by pacifica, (now out of biz) but a lot of them had that in the late 80's early 90's. Used to see them all the time :)

Mazda had a part that they dealer installed, that was a 3 piece, there were a few other manufacturers making them at that time too, Pacifica again being one of them.

Actually still think Mazdatrix has 'em

I think it's the small aero spoiler from www.mariahmotorsports.com

RacerX7fb 12-24-02 11:01 PM

I used to have the 3 piece wraparound lip spoiler that came factory from Mazda as the "Finishline series". I believe that zookeeper has it on his SE.
Fortunately Mariah makes an exact copy and my girlfriend got me it for Xmas. :)

MarkPerez 12-25-02 11:42 AM

Here's something i've found out not long ago,, The FC,,
yes, i said the FC rear spoiler from a GXL looks ok and fits the FB,, with a bit of trimming. it looks like the mariah small aero wing. like on Jose Reyes red FB. but it wraps around more. i know this because i've got one in fibreglass.

blasphemer!!!!! how dare you call amemiya san's car rice:confused:
you will surely suffer in hell for all eternity

PaulFitzwarryne 12-25-02 05:18 PM

The main purpose of most wings is to make it easier to reverse the car so you can judge where the back is. I think there out of place on a gen 1, a small spoiler is OK.

Ironically at speed due to the chisel nose the RX-7 needs more front downwards pressure than at the back. Thus if you are serious, a front air spoler is the first prority to improve high speed handling.

Other than looking cool to ricers, a wing is is fairly useless unless you are accelerating above 110 mph.
