Law Enforcement

Im not too clear on the new Laws for street racing in L.A County. do they actual "CRUSH" ur car for street racing or is it a joke, also is a contest for speed considered street racing? I dunno bout all LA cops but the ones in Glendale/Burbank are real ********, (cousin got a ticket for running a red light when he stopped couple feet after the limit line) Just wanna be sure i know the consequences im facing next time i let loose in my car

I think the Crushing thing is a rumor. I've been hearing about it for at least 6months and i haven't not heard of it happening to a single person yet. Not that i would want to test out that rumor.

No racing in L.A. , no looking like you want to street race, no having a car that might be involved in a street race, no having a car that came from the factory that might look like it would be in a street race, no having a race car period. Welcome to L.A.

That is a nice avatar...

if crushing your car is true, i wonder if there is a good enough lawyer to appeal using the 8th amendment.

I saw them crush a car on the news a year ago, when all this talk got started. It was an 80's camaro and the "supposed" owner was right there next to a cop. I think it's bs, they wouldn't do it for real.

This is what I heard... my next door neighbor is a CHP officer and he told me that all they will and "can" do is take your car and sell it to someone else but they "cannot" crush it due to the lawsuit thing...however i am not sure, just telling you what he said!

Exibition of speed is considered racing whether you are by yourself, another car or doing a wheelie on a crotch rocket.

San Diego passed a law after the 1st or 2nd F&F movie and they can seize your car for racing and you can be cited for watching on the street. You could have a sports car in the wrong place at the wrong time and get seized.

The seizure thing is fucked up. It's similar to the drug dealer one. They steal your car from you. Leave you either stranded or in jail. Then your car goes on auction and if you want it back you have to bid against other people and pay for your allready paid and owned car. If you still owe money on it then you are double or even tripple focker'd!

You should be able to find the new law on CHP website. I don't know if DMV or LAPD will have it as well.

The crushing of the camaro was over 3 years ago and to this day the only car that has been crushed. It took over a year of litigation to have it crushed. It was a scare tactic that the sheriff department used and, as you can see, worked really good.

By the way, if you have any questions about law enforcement, PM "Jesuscookies". He knows his ****.

i concur... i won't because:
1- too damn old to be mocked by teenyboppers
2- the car's stock
3- i don't want my car to be the second car cubed

thnx for the QuICK reasponse! ive herd though that if ur involved in street racing they take ur car, give u have of wats it worth and sell or maybe crush dont know. This law i herd of came affect little while ago. I think besides going to hell, watching a cop crush your 7 is the worst thing possible in this world.
