Unhappy my posts are not going through

Hello,

I'm new to these forums and I've been trying to post a thread asking for some advice on buying an FC, but for some reason none of my post attempts are going through. Yesterday I tried to post the thread in the "New Member RX-7 Technical" section but it never got posted for some reason. Tried posting it again today but it's still not going through...

I came to this forum because I figured there's got to be at least a few people here who are knowledgeable about RX7s that can help me decide whether or not this FC is a good buy. I am a newbie to RX7s and I really don't know all that much about them, which is why I figured it would be a good idea to come here and ask for some advice on this before I commit my hard-earned money into a ride that may possibly end up being a ripoff/lemon or just undrivable on the street due to being unable to pass smog. Unfortunately every time I try to post my thread it doesn't go through... I'd appreciate some help...

Thanks!

:edit:

Alright well I just tried posting my thread again for the third time but it still doesn't seem to be going through... looks like I might be S.O.L. on this one. I guess I'll try posting this on some other RX7 forums if I can find some...

Sorry for the double post, for some reason the "edit" button has disappeared from my post so I can't go back and edit it

I just read through the rules in the "New Member RX-7 Technical" section and apparently asking for advice on buying FC's is against the rules? I'm not sure why this is, as I figured that would be precisely one of the reasons why such a forum would exist in the first place.

I'm also not sure how I'm expected to know whether an RX-7 will pass a smog/what modifications it will need to pass a smog if I know absolutely nothing about RX-7s and I'm not allowed to post a question about it on an RX-7 forum... I have been reading RX-7 tuning guides, new buyer guides, etc, but none of these are telling me anything that would be helpful in determining whether this specific car that I'm looking at on Craigslist will pass a smog test or if I will have to spend thousands of dollars to bring it up to compliance... This is really beginning to frustrate me... Can anybody help me out with this or should I just give up on trying to buy an RX-7 at all?

It's just frustrating for me because now it almost seems like you can't buy a modified RX-7 unless you're already an expert on them since a newbie like me can't ask for advice on whether or not a particular RX-7 could pass a smog with the modifications it currently has installed...

Well, since apparently not a single soul on these forums even wants to acknowledge my posts, let alone provide me with some feedback, it looks like I won't be buying an RX-7 after all. Kinda upsets me, since I was really looking forward to getting this ride, but if I can't even get some basic advice on passing a smog check then I guess it isn't worth it. Would have thought that with a forum this big, with as many members that it has, at least one of you guys would be willing to help the new guy out, but I guess I was wrong about that... Oh well. Guess I'll just buy a 240sx or something.

Honestly I bet if you searched for keywords pertaining to what you want, you might have better luck. Any question you can think of has probably been asked several times.

It is because you posted a Link to Craigslist which is NOT allowed.(Craigslist does not pay to advertise here, and it will not be posted in the NEW member section)
Also you were asking about Car BUYING advice which is NOT Technical.Buying a car is UP to you,and it is not considered a Technical question.

If you READ The RULES on HOW TO ENTER the Forum it would explain this in Detail.
The rules are posted Quadruplicately for your Reading Pleasure at the TOP of the INTRO section,.
So the Reason your post did not go through is User error,.(not abiding to rules).

You post 3 Replies in 3 hours and complain that nobody helped you??
Priceless.

It's a SELF HELP forum. The info is posted to read and the advice is given Voluntarily.
