I don't know as you "need" one them. You can fabricate your own. Or if you want to get a bracket you can buy either an aftermarket bracket or you can get a used bracket off eBay pretty easy. Lots of options to get the job done.

Not sure if they are all the same or if they were engine specific. A bracket from a 390FE may or may not fit a 289/302/351W. I'd look for one from/for a small block myself.

boys this is giving me a little trouble
race beat springs are rated at 145 lb per inch front and 110 lb per inch
351w with cast heads and intake is 498 lbs. aluminum intake is 11 lbs
and when the aluminum heads are installed claimed to be a 70 to 90 lbs weight saving
so maybe end with 420lb ish.
are those springs going to be ok?

Aluminum heads will save you around 50 pounds total.

You can get tophats and adjustable spring perches and run 2.5" ID springs. That is my plan eventually. about 50 bucks on ebay

yes those I think, can you send a link? Stock shocks are fine, but something adjustable would be preferred

You got lucky those sleeves look nice, you will also need tophats like these and maybe the weld on perches https://technotoytuning.com/universa...gs-22mm-center

You need to get 4.5" of 5" ID springs for the rear though if you are using the stock spring perches

guys last couple weeks i have been busy with the project
a local engine shop tells me they can redo the stock heads for 300 and yield vast better flow.
also i have been looking at any exhaust advise i can get . people are telling me a x pipe is the single best there is but i do not think there is enough room for duals.

will a y connection and a single pipe back be ok?

should be fine, you can also run parallel duals, I think I am going with that setup on my car. Definitely cannot fit an H or X pipe

These guys run a Y into a single setup on a 357 SBC and run 5.70's in the 1/8th, which is deep in the 9's in the 1/4. You should be fine.

i read today the flat tappet cams must have sulfer added at every oil change
comp cams 35-246-3 is a roller and on my list of maybe.
but i don't see any mention of oil on there flat tappet version

also on the comp site is a rpm act banner, what is this about?

Our EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) issued/clarified some rules that were long taken to mean one thing and they seem to want them to mean something else all of a sudden and it had the very strong possibility of strangling the entire performance aftermarket to point of making it collapse. Major uproar and the RPM act was introduced to counteract it.

guys time for a update
busy summer coming to a end
still gathering parts needed for the 351w
today received a order from comp cams timing set and a ***** thumper cam
past weeks i got my new fuel pump , oil pump, water pump and some alt brackets.
started to paint the body , i decided to go with 77 mazda k3 sunburst silver metallic
all front panels are done but one fender .
stripped to bare metal , 3 coats of epoxy inside and out . outer 2 coats of high build blocked out with 320 and 3 coats of single stage

panels are not mounted just sitting there so not lined up right

also i sprayed some rattle can black on the bumper to test
but not sure if black or spray body color
what do you think?
