I started looking for lowering springs, and found these Tein S tech Springs on ebay for like 139$ usd and they are supposed to be brand new in their boxes.
Should i trust these springs? are they good ?
I first looked for H&R springs, because they were giving a nice stance on a RX-7. I want my car to be the lower as possible, and on ebay they tells that the Tein springs are lowers 1.4inch front, and 1.3inch rear.
IMO Tein makes makes an excellent product. FYI, the list on Tein S is $145 so you could buy them from one of our vendors.
Tein S front rate 440 pounds per inch rear 320 you are correct as to the advertised drop.
Tein H Tech 390 fr/ 290 rear .8 inch front and .7 rear drop $200
Eibach Pro Kit 350/255 drop is in between S & H..... my favorite for most applications
stock 263 fr and 195 rear
all of the above aftermarket rates are just fine. you will be shocked at how well the car handles with just the addition of the above springs w stock non R1 shocks and a re-alignment which will be necessary. align: 1.2 neg camber front and rear. less than an eighth toe in front and rear. zero thrust angle rear. 30 pounds air front 28 rear set cold.
lots of info on springs in the suspension section.
Good info, Howard! I just copied/pasted that sucker into my FD file for future reference .
I plan on going with the H-tech springs. I had Tein coilovers on my FC, and they handled great but were too bouncy for an everyday driver IMHO. I don't want a bigtime drop, just lowered enough and a bit stiffer to tighten the chassis up.
Be careful with the S-Tech and aftermarket wheels. Rolling the fenders becomes a must unless you are using shocks with an adjustable perch. Here is a picture of the S-Tech and Tokicos (almost brand new so no sagging or anything):
ok, but they are really cheap, and they seems to lower the car like the H&Rs
They are lower than the H&R's. You won't have any problems with the stock wheels, wider aftermarket wheels in the front can be a problem with them though.

They are on the heavy side. I don't really notice the difference until I'm changing tires back to the stock ones for track duty. Mounting/lifting them, you really notice the difference.
