Super Now Suspension arms (FD3S)

What are the advantages to any of these parts. I have a standard 2002 FD, and I'm wondering about replacing the rubber bushings with pillowballs.

The car is a street/winding road/hpde/track car crossover obviously nearly all of the usage is road usage.

Suspension is currently Ohlins Flagship coilovers 14kg/mm front and rear. Using RE-11 tyres and eying off RE-71R when they need replacing.

I wouldn't bother with spherical a for anything but a pure race car. Lots of hardcore track cars run the stock bushings (self included). The toe/trailing links in the rear, are the only spots that are really worth it.

Don't feel the need to "upgrade" everything just for the sake of upgrading.

Part of the appeal is a replaceable ball joint.

John Skola of Carroll Smith fame, has done them for FDs locally if you're super keen - no dust boots.

Why are those points worth it? Is that the toe links and also the longer arm?

I wasn't sure if I read somewhere that there was designed in deflection in the rear toe link so that under braking the rear toes in for extra stability and then toes out under power to help the car slide around corners or is that complete rubbish?

I have upgraded a fair few key components on my car and all working together they have made a massive difference and I am keen for more improvements if they exist.

I installed them for a customer a bit ago. The main benefit is you can get more camber adjustment.

we've run sphericals on the race car here and there, and the only real downside is that you remove the rubber cushion, so when you hit stuff, the alignment changes. basically instead of absorbing an impact, it tweaks things.

so i'd be selective on where you put them, front upper arms are fine, but front lower is probably not street friendly.

If I post up the schematics for the suspension can someone tell me which arms are pillow and which arms are normal bushings, and why in their opinion I should or should not alter each specific one.

I have the same feeling of unknowing and no familiarity of what to change with my 3rd gen as I did with my SA22C. Until I do these mods I won't know what or why and I prefer to be educated before I spend money or go through effort.

in the rear 26-230 are already pillow ball, 28-330B is the one we all think should be a pillow ball/delrin

traditionally the rest of the bushings in the rear are rubber, except for maybe the toe link.

and lmao, the parts catalog just died, so i suppose Mr Putin does not want you to have the picture for the front suspension. its all rubber from the factory.
