Eurou front fenders are on order!
I'm wanting to keep the rear fenders mostly stock in shape, though I realize they will have to be pulled some. Going to test fit them soon before body mods, at which time I'll post up a couple more pics. Will be interesting to see how far they'll stick out on stock body. (*Coilovers are Blitz ZZ-R Type-C w/ External reservoirs)

...Well, there are several reasons, but it boils down to auto manufacturers having to make certain 'compromises'.
In line with your thinking, maybe all RX-7's should only be allowed to use factory wheels and tires? To modify is to deviate from what the company intended!

To say it's unfunctional is another argument. Mad Mikes MADBUL FD rim/tire setup has massive stretch which he beats on professionally.
It handles the power, and provides the look he wants. This is also why your possible argument is invalid.

I hope you have an amazing life, and all your dreams come true, cewrx7r1. It might be in your best interest to tone down the negativity.
(Improper use of grammar and punctuation is a better tell of stupidity, imo.)
Car modifying exists and is fun because each person can express their own individual tastes and creativity on multiple levels. Sometimes this creativity inspires others, atleast to do what they want, not just listen to what "the masses" deem acceptable. For instance, 3-Rotor swaps inspired the later idea to create a 4-Rotor swapped FD; was that "car maker approved?"
2.5" further drop and StopTech's coming soon.
Lugnuts are WORK RS black anodized. ('93 R1 w/39k miles)

you'll definitely be able to run less stretch once your fenders are rolled! The dislike 19s and 20s on FD because the car's body is already so damn high even after you slam it, a 245/35/18 (24.8"OD) lets you go a full inch lower than a 245/30/20 (25.8"OD). Sidewall on the 245/30/20 is a tad shorter though, so you're given the opportunity to tuck more of the tire (at least the appearance of) without rubbing at full lock.
However 24.8-25in OD tires (like 245/35 - 255/35 - 285/30 - 295/30) are already a pita when it comes to wheel well clearance when turning the steering from lock to lock. They hit so many places under the car even with an aggressive offset...
anyway, here's my new setup. 18x10.5+5 (245/35) and 18x12.5-8 (295/35). I might change to 255/35 and 315/30 R888s depending on how they'll fit on the car.

I have something in the works regarding new wheels, but I'm waiting to finish some other mods and waiting for more funds lol.
