Do the above first. If it's good, then go to ETC, then to Snsr Chk, and see what the sensor voltage is for AF-1 with the key to just ON and engine not running. Then post what you saw.
OR, go to the afm, and with the key to ON and engine OFF, stare at the percentage as you shove the vane in the afm all the way aft then let it return all the way fwd. Do that several times but hold it in the aft position for a few seconds before letting go of it.
I think there is a LEARNING curve that the SAFC needs to .....learn.
What does your TPS percentage read??? At rest and then with the pedal down?
The sensor voltage for the TPS and a hot engine should be approx one volt. Just some FYI not related to the afm.

Those readings are normal for In1 and Throttle.
Well, don't look at the SAFC then, but do go to the AFM and make the Flap go full aft and hold it there for a few moments.......let it return to close and repeat several times.
Then go for a ride on a empty road, preferably on a uphill run, and floor the car in second and or third gears several times and look for some improvement. Red line the car when you do that. Don't do this just sitting there in the driveway because the flap won't go full aft doing it that way.
No improvement...write back.
Just FYI: I think In1 will read about 2.8vdc give or take at IDLE and a fully warmed up engine. IF yours reads 2.8vdc or 2.7vdc then I suspect your setup is probably ok.
Is this a turbo afm in a non turbo????? A non turbo afm part number starts with N326 and a Turbo afm starts with a part number of N318 (series four cars). Don't take it for granted that you have the right afm. Just look for the part number plate and verify the N326 or N318 xxxxxxxxxx numbers. I'd do the other stuff mentioned above first.
It would help if you could get someone, anyone, even the mail man to look at the SAFC as you hold the flap full aft.
And yes, the Blue wire can be attached to the 02 input. Stock 02 input. I did that and I can't remember how accurate that reading was compared to a Fluke reading at the same time. I kinda remember something funky about that. Sorry, I don't mess with the SAFC much anymore. I'll recheck that maybe tomorrow.

ok i forgot about the peak hold function. with the door wide open for 5 seconds the highest reading was 57.1 with the settings all correct.
so how much of a difference is this causing to my fuel milage and proformance, and what should i do about it?

I just checked mine and it goes to about 63.9%.
I am going to call APexi and get some specifics on what the IN OUT numbers really mean and why the AFL does not go to 100%.
My engine runs perfectly fine right now so maybe its supposed to be like that. I dunno.

Did you manually hold the flap to full aft while looking at the SAFC?

It should be in the 0.230 vdc range, give or take. (memory here). I'm guessing at that figure. It's more or less what I remember from the past.
Anyway write back what yours was and I'll check out mine with it full aft tomorrow and write back.
