na-turbo tuning question
so im doing a somewhat budget na to turbo conversion, and i've run into a bit of a problem as far as tuning goes. here's a handful of questions:
i was planning on running a s-afc over the stock na ecu, maf, and boost sensor.
1) i purchased large 800cc injectors with plans to raise boost, but a friend of mine says he thinks safc only goes up to 550cc- truth?
2) will i still need a fcd? will i also need something to control rev limit?
3) anything im missing/haven't thought about?

1) The SAFC controls injector duty cycle, not injector size. Your friend is unfamiliar with the SAFC. You can tune any size injector but only from a margin of I believe -30% to +30%. I'm at 10psi with a +15% on my 550ccs (Which is close to maxing them out). 800cc secondaries is going to be good for 12-13psi on the stock turbo I believe. I would guess 250whp.
2) You will only need a FCD if you plan on running higher than stock boost. The SAFC does not have a built in FCD like the RTek does.
Make sure to use the Turbo ECU, MAF, and Pressure sensors.

You will probably avoid having the car ever start than.
In the classifieds section an ecu is 100, a harness is 100, a pressure sensor is 20 and an afm is like 60.
I do not believe the N/A ecu or pressure sensor can even understand boost. I have driven my car on the N/A afm however and it does drive but it isn't pretty.
