Nice, looks like vice grips with a groove and a male "hump" welded in to make nice beads for intercooler pipes to keep the silicon couplers from blowing off, NICE JOB, too bad it wont work on my aluminum piping

Yeah for the aluminum tubing I'm going to weld a bead around it.

I ran four prox. 3/4" beads on my aluminum 2-1/2" pipes and had sealing problems. I am going to sand one of my pipes smooth and try it. With a good hose clamp I can't see why a thick silicon hose will blow off even at 30+ psi.

Four beads? How do you mean? Did you weld 4 "circles" on the tube or just lay down 4 short beads with gaps inbetween?

Sorry for the confusion. Gaps in-between the 3/4" beads.

Aluminum doesn't "work" the same way steel does.
