Initial tuning - GT4088 on E85
After a lot of time and effort I finally got my car to a point where I was very confident that it was put together correctly, issue free and ready for professional tuning. Tuning is being done at UMS Tuning and Tony absolutely knows his stuff. Any Rx7 in AZ should go to him for tuning. He is amazing!
After over an hour of straight drivability tuning a few boost runs were made. The car never took a break to cool down and coolant and oil temps were cool and rock solid. After a few full throttle boost runs the car lost fuel pressure while it was idling. Turns out one of the Twist Tite fuel line blew off one of the fuel pumps in the tank. Luckily this happened after a run and the car was idling. The motor is completely fine and should be back on the dyno to complete tuning late this week early next week at the latest. Results up till this point were 526WHP and 398WTQ at 20psi. It looks like there may be enough fuel for 25PSI. We will find out.
Short Mod list:
Rx7 Store GT4088 turbo kit with 1.06 AR turbine housing.
Jet Hot/HPC 2500 degree ceramic coating on manifold, turbine housing, and down pipe.
Custom V Mount IC and Radiator
Dual Bosh 044’s
6 x ID 1000cc injectors with base pressure set to 65psi with no vacuum to regulator.
Power FC w/Datalogit
Dual Sensor Connection EGT’s with analog out to datalogit

I set the base pressure with the vacuum line off the regulator so that the dead times were accurately entered into the datalogit based on the I'D instructions.

I wanted enough fuel for over 500whp on E85 which was going to require a high base pressure based on my injectors to archive. There are many benefits to run higher fuel pressure if you are able to do safely. I'D injectors love high pressure and E85 seems to idle well at high pressure also.

oh, thought you were saying you ran 65psi always with ":no" vacum to regulator.

Your easiest source would probably be Summit. Just do a search by fuel type for E85 if that is what you plan to run. I believe there brand is called push tite hose and fittings which is what you would use in the tank.
