Sorry, you'll be hard pressed to see more the 430 SAE corrected rwhp on any turbo at 15 psi on a street port.

Yeah 17 psi is definately pushing it for pump gas without some sort of antidetonant injection or ridiculously rich A/F ratios. Several have claimed 450+ rwhp at 15 psi on a street port but I've yet to see an SAE corrected dyno sheet confirming it.

On a full weight street 3rd gen with slicks and good driving (and nothing breaking), 430rw would probably do it -but you'd have to beat the **** out of the car. 470 rw got Ernie T well into the 10s at 128 mph.

ok here is the deal... id use water injectoin... and a smaller turbo at higher boost... tahts my oppinion..

cause waht u are lookin for is a HUGE turbo... but its possible... i dunno bout the streetport like others said above.. im thinking that a t51spl will do the trick ... as for the other things... well id run straight pipes... a big intercooler... greddy 3 row... u should be pu8shin alot of air through the sucker... of course ur gonna want new suspension... i cant really comment on that... water injectoin is a good idea for that much hp... check in the 3rd gen area about that... they have a sticky on it.. but thatz what i would do...

if u can get the fella bridgeported..and i see no problems

bridgeport... I hear that the idle is nutz and stalls a lot. Also have to rev the hell out of it to get power or somthing (what ive heard). Can a bidge ported FD pass emmissions? I hear of guys driving on the streets with em. So with this kind of porting how realistic is 500hp on 15psi... or better yet a 10sec FD?

Hey just a question... how much do you plan on dropping into your car $ wise? I would guess 10 g's b/c w/o it your usually missing something. Unless you are creative and find everything used!

What do you mean by legally? smog? a full bridgeport isnt made for the streets. just stick to a large street port.

The bridge is extremely loud. I found myself constantly looking for cops and ways to get away from them, when I drove the bridge on the street. If you do decide to go bridge just do a half bridge (bridge on outer plates, side on intermediate). It is much more reliable. You can actually run stock apex seals. 17 psi on pump gas is no problem if the car is tuned correctly. I ran around on 18 psi all day long on pump gas and no problems. Water injection is a very good idea and adds a degree of saftey to the equation. Dragon was running 22psi on 89 octane pump gas and water injection. He actually had it up to 24-25psi and then spun a bearing.

nice. Who sells this water injection? I gotta have it...17-20psi on 91 octain (AZ). Sounds good. On a T-78 it shouldnt be to hard to reach 500rwhp with about 17-20 or so psi rite?

Your not getting 500rwhp at 15lbs of boost. Just not happening. Demetrios uses a huge *** large frame turbo that started life as a TV45 and now has upgrades to it. And he made 480rwhp at 15psi. All of your other smaller frame turbo's like the "kits" just arn't going to do it. Your going to be very hard pressed running 10's on pump gas. You may get close though. Closest I went was a 11.2@122mph on 15psi, but that was with a 1.50 60'......
Your going to need to run atleast 20lbs of boost on a larger turbo setup.

So what would be a better set up than the T-78 for my goal? The T-78 couldnt do it at 20psi? Any info would help a lot, thanks.

AnthonyNYC didn't hit 500rwhp on his T78 until almost 25lbs of boost, if Im not mistaken. Your going to want a larger turbo such as the HKS T51 series or an Innovative T72 may also suite your needs better.

Have you considered a set of custom twins? Or a 20B? It would be expensive, but may be a solution if 500 RWHP at XX PSI is an absolute must. I don't know how important that is to you.

If you have never gone single, then a T78 may just be a good starting point for you to get used to a 430+ RWHP car...and work through the learning curve.

ok, How about the HKS T51R KAI turbo or the HKS T51 SPL TURBO (With a large street port from pineapple)? Which would be better for my 500hp (10sec) 20psi goal?
Going to run water injection for the 20psi (pump).

Everybody wants the big #'S

It's funny that how everybody comes on here, never uses search. Well I guess every new member forgets about it.

But every new member also pops the question. How do I get 500rwhp, how do I get a 10 second rx7.

There should be just a stick made that says

Easy way to make 500rwhp.

Bridgeport, ported exhaust housings 8.5 comp rotors.
T66(or bigger) Qtrim 1.15 AR
50mm Wastegate
2x1600cc
2x850cc
2x1300cc
400gph fuel pump.
3port fuel pressure regulator.
FMIC 3row
Upgraded radiator
Upgraded EMS, Microtech or Haltec. Preferably
Drag Slicks
Kazz limited slip or **** that!! why not just weld the the spider gears.
Race Clutch
Race Flywheel

This is the big ****
O course you'll need fuel lines, Fuel Cell, and lines and piping and alot of other things.
