im getting ready to purchase some wider wheels/tires. my current setup is:

17x7 +45 rims with 225/45/17 tires

koni yellow shocks (on the highest perch)

eibach lowering spring

my issue is that i think the car is too low. ive already ripped out both fender liners and my wheels rub the fender when making a turn and hit a bump. so being i want to get wider rims and tires i think it would be best to lift the car up 3/4"-1"

looking to pick up enkei rpf1's 17x8.5 front and 17x9.5 or 17x10 in the back. also the nitto tires i want are available in a 275/40 rear and 235/40 front series tire which would make the car even lower (oil pan is like 3" off the ground as it is)

what spring/shock setup would you suggest? dont wanna go to a stock height, but dont wanna keep tearing up my front fenders/tires.

I've had similiar problems with 235/45-17's, running H&R sports on Konis, in extreme loading situations (auto-x, some driveway curbs when turning). So, the H&R's may not be the best for you either.

The Ground Control coilover kit may bet a good solution, one which I'm considering for it's adjustability, are relatively low cost (about $600 new). These will work with the existing Koni's.

Nice choice on wheel and tire sizes. You may want to consider a 245/40 up front.

 

I second the Ground Control Coilover sleeves to mate with your existing Koni's.

 

going ground control coil overs is a good idea, but Coleman racing also makes spring spacers.
