Cool Haltech Help???

Please help!! Can anybody tell me the operating frequency of a stock TII BAC and boost control valve?? I tried 30ms for the BAC and it was louder than the motor. Is this correct?? Thanks for any input.

Cosmo Donk should have this info. Why hasn't he posted here? If you have a good map in your car you should not need a BAC unless you are running an anti lag setup.

I haven't posted because I do not run a BAC. MikeL on this board runs one I think but as Jay said, they really are not necessary unless you run large electrical drains or you want a high cold idle to smooth things out like the stock thermowax.

I do have one on the car. It is disabled on the PWM Options page.

The idle speed control is enabled on the output Options page. I have target rpm at 900. I have the physical idle screw set at 1000. The only time the BAC wakes up and makes noise is when I turn on the a/c. It drags rpm down to about 750 and then the BAC brings it up to 900.

I don't pretend to understand this. Maybe there's a better way to do it.

Cool

The car runs better (more stable idle) with the BAC turned off. It's not that I need it but I wan't it to idle up with the a/c. I'll try to increase the hard idle so that the BAC only takes over when I turn on the a/c.
Thanks a million.

Mike, now that you explained how you have yours setup, it makes sense now. If you read the instructions manual (if you have it) you will see that is says to 'disable' the PWM option for BAC if you are using it for idle speed control. That way it uses the settings in the 'input/output' page.

This all from reading the manual. I use mine for the ALS since the only elecrical draw on my car is my stereo
