They have them for the 3rd gen? I didn't know that. I think most people don't have them because at the point where they need it on a 3rd gen they would rather do it right and get a chip or something.

A FCD lies to the ecu and tells it you are running less boost than you really are so it tricks it into doing the right thing
someone correct me if i am wrong
doesn't that put you into a lean condition? telling the ecu you are running less boost therefore the ecu compensates less fuel? ( GLAD to have a Haltech!)

Ok but how about a FCD, an FCON and a manual boost controller? Should be well under $500 bucks and get me there. Right? Better than just running rich with an ECU upgrade? Does the FCON and FCD work together? Why yes, I am a total rookie.

Thanks 13BAce. I have an FD and I'd like to pump it up a bit but $1.2k-$1.5K is a bit steep. Can I run higher boost with an FCON using a manual boost control ( I assume the FCON has a build in air/fuel meter. Can I play wiht this stuff with out an IC upgrade?
The Fcon has its own pressure sensor, so it does not matter that the stock ECU does not see the pressure since the F-con is taking care of the fuel anyway.
