Smile Newbie...question

Hi!!~~
I am a real newbie for the RX-7 and I just recently got a 3rd gen R1. I want a ecu mod and I was wondering which one is the best?
I heard that the power FC is the best one.
Is it true?
What are other options? please... help.
Thanks
Sean

Well, first of all read all of the threads here in the ECU forum

Then, ask yourself how far you want to take your car in the modding process. The Power FC is fully programable which is good and bad depending on your knowledge and how much you want to dink with your car. Chips are good and easy but don't compare to the flexability of a stand alone similar to the FC and others.

p.s. Other people, no I am not camparing the FC to the others, that is for a different thread

I think it depends on your goals for the car. I like the idea of plug and play and go. I have the Pettit Unlimited ECU, and for now i think will work well for me. If you go single turbo or get serious into it, you might want to go to a stand alone, Power FC, Haltech, Motec, etc... Do you want a serious drag car, a track car or a daily driver. They way i figure it, people can get into the 10's on the Pettit Ecu and its a tried and tested method. Maybe later i will convert over to the Haltech, etc, but for now this is great for me.

Thanks,
Matt
