Atkins Viton Oil O-rings

I found a large variety of Viton O-rings at McMaster-Carr, but Atkins calls they're O-rings "ARE 15". Mcmaster O-rings are 75A Shore. What's the difference?

Anybody have any advice, knowledge or experience with this? Are Mazdacomps Oil Control O-rings the same as the Atkins O-rings?

Thanks,
Eric.

"75" is a durometer (or hardness) of an oring. Viton orings usually come in 75 or 90 durometer with 90 being harder than 75. I do not know which is correct for your application, but if you know the material, the size, and the durometer you can buy orings at a local bearing house, usually cheaper than McMaster.

Viton cost alot and most local bearing houses around Nashville do not keep it . Trust the builders experience if you trust the builder. use the best for best results the cost will be offset by longer life and performance
