o2 sensor

noob question.. i just found out that my o2 sensor on the header is disconnected and the wire on the o2 sensor is cut off now my question is if i buy a new one reconnect it will the car run better or is it going to be the same. the car is an na s5

Mine is like that too. It's been that way since I got it 3 years ago and I've wondered the same thing. Sorry, I guess I don't have any thing helpful to say really. I'll be watching this thread.

btw, that video in your sig is really funny.

i just want to know if it will run better cause i found the plug that goes to it but i dont want to buy an o2 sensor if i dont have.

I can't even find the connector for mine. It seems the previous owner cut the wire and just left the sensor to plug the hole on the header.

i never noticed a differance my car ran the same other than the check engine light came on my gtu but on my gxl it ran the same but the check engine light never came on and they are both s5

An O2 sensor costs $20. Why not get one? You have nothing too lose and gas mileage to gain. The car runs open loop when accelerating anyway.
