94 LS1/RX7 SWAP/ Base model Project car almost complete!
This is a 94 LS1/RX7 Base model that I have available for sale. I have to many projects and not enough time. This has been in my driveway for 8 to 10 months and just looking to get rid of it as is. You buy it cheap, finish it and reap the equity! There is a non-opp on the car so no late fee for the reg.No accidents and clean title in hand. This car was running at one point with a LS1 for a couple years until I built an LS2 for it. It was a 10 second car at the local Sac speedway and Sears point. Never road raced. The last time I went to the track, the diff broke on me so that was replaced with another stock one. I ran that motor for a while and I ended up getting another RX7 and pulled the LS2 for that car and dropped a stock 2002 LS1 W/62K miles into it again and haven't totally completed it since. The car is 90% done to be up and running again. About 7 to 10 hours labor will be needed to get the car running for the street. NO TRADES OR PARTING OUT!
Here is a list of things the car will need to be street able again.
1) Exhaust system
2) New battery. The one I have might work.
3)Bleed the brakes.
4)Bolt in headlight assembly( they were removed for running auto fan control system and battery cable)
5)Dyno tune the car for the computer.
6) Temp sensor(Easy 15 min job)
I have the Hinson FD sub frame kit with aluminum drive shaft and JTR cooling system. The motor is completely stock with power steering and lines are hooked up. The motor has the A/C compressor on it. There is a aeromotive fuel regulator and volvo fan cooling system that works great. I had the engine compartment painted gloss black at one point so can be buffed out almost new. All suspension and brakes are stock. I left the suspension stock because it was great for drag racing. The paint is faded a little bit and clear coat is flaking here and there. The front fenders and new from the dealer and never been painted. I replaced them because it was cheaper to replace them instead of remove little dings from them. All the interior is there and in decent shape. The drivers seat has a little tear on it. I will get pics of the interior and engine compartment soon. Let me know if you have questions. Here is a couple videos of the car when it was on the road.
Thanks z28_SS for the voucher.
I got a bunch of emails asking how much is left to get the car running and what has been done.
ALL THE DIFFICULT STUFF HAS BEEN DONE AND INSTALLED.
The clutch system is in and complete. Clutch is stiff
Power steering lines are done.
Fuel system is complete.
Motor is in and bolted up W/Tranny.
Torque arm is installed W/Aluminum drive shaft.
LSX harness is in and operational. Same harness I been using with the last motor.
What needs to be done for the car to start and run?
1) Needs exhaust system from heads back.
2) Needs Camaro throttle bracket( 3 minute install just dont have $10 bracket)
3) Hook up temp sensor( 5 minute install just needs a $5 Equis adapter kit)
4) VATS needs to be removed off the PCM
That's pretty much the list of things needs to be running.
Little detail crap it needs.
Center consol needs to be bolted in. Kick panels re-installed, some trim pieces here and there. Head light buckets re-installed. I have everything it needs.
If someone is in the market for a LS1 FD.......this is a smokin deal.
Just do the math.
1) A clean title roller from California with a Non-op is worth $4500 to $5500
2) 02 LS1/T56 with harness worth $3500 give or take
3) Hinson complete subframe kit $1750 W/aluminum DS
4) Cooling system W/Volvo fan is $500
5) Miscellaneous parts for the fuel system, clutch master and clutch line, Power steering lines $600
Not including the labor cost of even counting the number of lost man hours to do the conversion.
Those things alone are almost $12000.....EASY!
If your in the market and have the money, it's worth looking at, I assure you!
I just dont have the time or drive to finish with what's on my plate.
