well im new to the rx7 world and i just bought an 87 rx7 N/A 5spd coupe that supposedly has the s5 motor in it. the guy gave me the s5 computer and supposedly the s5 harness and everything needs wired up, the harness is completely unplugged. my question is, is the s4 harness and s5 harness the same or is there any differences because the harness i have has some hacked wires...he has the old s4 harness but i dont know if it will all plug in and work. if anybody can help me out id really appreciate it!

The wiring is nowhere near the same. You can study the emissions harness wiring differences in the S4 & S5 manuals, but it is quite a lot of work to rewire it all.

The easier way is to convert some things mechanically, and retain all of the S4 sensors, ECU and wiring. http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...o_s4_swap.html
