fuel pressure check? ::searched::
this is my first s4 TII, i just sold my NA.
so from what ive heard i have to remove the top mount and the UIM and atatch the fuel pressure checking thinga-majig to the fuel rail?
i realize how noobish this question is, and for that i appologize. i just cant seem to find/figure out how to do it.
thanks guys

You need a gauge with a tee fitting & two nipples and a short piece of 5/16" line. Tee the gauge into the feed side of the system (fuel line w/ the fuel filter) and you're good to go. Removing the top mount and part of its bracket will give you more room to work. Getting the hose off of the metal hardline can be a pain in the ***, but everything else is pretty simple.
You should see about 30 psi at idle, ~40 psi with the engine off (fuel pump jumper set & key to 'ON') or remove the FPR vac line at idle, and one additional psi for every pound of boost. You can simulate this with a hand pump attached to the FPR.
