Use this WG gasket OR NOT??

I have a 50mm HKS WG that bolts to the FC HKS Cast Mani. I recently put the WG on and had a large leak from the WG-to-Mani.

After removal, I inspected the surfaces and both seem true and searched for some gaskets on the web. I came across these gaskets on ebay.

Problem is they are the "crush material" type that you would use for mounting your mid pipe to your DP. The OEM HKS gasket is a solid piece of metal much like our Turbo-to-Mani gaskets.

My concern is do you think this would hold up to the heat and pressure? I have heard of WG gasket blow outs and don't want to remove the turbo assembly again(clearence issues when trying to remove only the WG when on car).

They are pretty solid material BUT are twice the thickness of the HKS gasket.

hmmmm???

i have seen a lot of manifold gaskets for other application that are made like that.
personally, i would use it. worst case it will eventually leak and you will have to change it agian and you can get the thin metal one.

If you torque it properly it will last until you remove it. When they get loose they will burn out were its leaking but its not the gaskets fault.

copper gaskets tend to work the best if you can find one
