Question Series 5 Turbo upgrade

Is there a way to upgrade the factory S5 turbo by changining or modifying the compressor \ housing and retaining the internal wastgate housing? Turbinetics used to make a bolt on high capacity compressor which mounted to the wastgate housing but they no longer do this. What options do I have if I want to retain and upgrade the original turbo?

Yep. Most T4 stuff fits, but regarding the wastegate you will need to get creative.

Why are you selling your S5 turbo? Has it been modified with bigger impellors (on the compressor side) to pump a higher CFM than factory standard? What boost has it been putting out and what is its max CFM. Send me the photos of your S5 turbo to: carltonc@paradise.net.nz

Please translate what T4 means as I am relatively new to all this. I'm trying to find "bolt on" solutions without going down the custom machining route.

T4 is a size of a family of turbos. You're not going to find any bolt on stuff. At the very least, there are some modifications to make this stuff fit. Even the direct bolt on requires the turbo to be balanced.

If you want an off the shelf solution, check out BNR turbos.

Keep in mind that any sort of turbo upgrade requires upgrading the fuel system and intercooler.
