Evo 9 owner, now buying an RX-7 Spirit R!

Hi, I am from Bangladesh. I currently have an Evo 9(JDM), and a Z4. I have always dreamt of owing an RX-7. This week I will be buying a White Rx-7 Spirit R Type A.

I have been studying the threads about this car for a long time, so hopefully my efforts will be of some use to me.

In the Evo, I have a lot of fun as I can tune my stock ecu a great deal and the stock ecu is a very capable unit.

I hope to have more fun in the RX because it has such fantastic power to weight ratio. I just love cars that if you love them, it gives back in return.

Wish me luck guys!

Here are some pics of my evo. I don't want to throw out dyno numbers as I am constantly tuning and rectifying things. I am currently running 26-27 psi peak, holding 23 psi to redline. A/F 11.5. Self Tuned on the only octane available here, which is 91.

The RX I am going to keep stock for the time being. It will be my fun car, won't abuse it at all.

Thanks for all the comments. Waiting eagerly for my Spirit R to arrive.
Going to order a Techtom device to monitor things at first. Also have a spare Wideband (zeitronix /w boost map sensor) that will go in on the car. Then later IF I feel like modding, I *might* order the Power FC. But most probably will keep this car as much stockish as possible.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Feeling right at home here! I learned a lot from EvolutionM.net, and this site seems full of useful info too. Just the problem is there are not too many series 8 FDs around here and certainly not in the US.

Wow, is that $50 USD?

By the way, you are living the dream of many North American RX-7 owners. We would all love to have a series 8 RX-7, or even the opportunity to own one. Thanks for the pics of your Evo, and be sure to throw up tons of pics of your new FD.
