GM LSx coild w/ PowerFC ??

ok.

So Im using a A.P. Engineering Apexi power FC, on my S5 TII 13b thats in our project miata. and i want to upgrade to a set of GM LSx coils, mainly because i have NO room to mount the S5 TII coils...

has any one made the LSx coils work on the powerFC?? is this possible to do?

iv searched but have not found any good information.

The main concern is the coil resistance, and type.
Some coils are made to be used with either (1) points/transitor switching, or (2)capacitor discharge. #1 will work fine with either switching/control device but #2 will not work as well with #1 control device.
#1 produces the spark when the magnetic field collapses due to the power being turned off. #2 produces the spark when the capacitor discharges or turns on the coil.

As the stock Mazda coil is less than 1 ohm resistance, any coil should be fine since they are probably of higher resistance.

Experiment and see if they work.
