RTEK 7 v1.8 for s5?

hey i was looking at getting an RTEK 7 v1.8 for my s5 rx7 and just found that it is only listed for s4, can it work for a series 5? if not is there anything else on the market that will do the same job in a s5 for a similar price?

S5 I think has different parameters and such. I believe there are differences in the overall wiring and control of each series engines, mechanical verses electrical control. Another informative site about this is rotaryresurrection.com Digitaltuning.com is working on the 2.1 version right now for the s5. I saw your post on what you are doing and I would definately consider the 2.1 version if you can wait for it to arrive. I'm putting a TII drive train in my 88 vert and am going to run the 2.1. My mods are going to be about the same as yours I think, hybrid turbo, REVII exhaust, street port with rotary aviations seals, fmic, bigger injectors and such. It seems like they were looking for beta testers for s5's , look in the rtek forum on here if you haven't already. Some people use fcon's and some greddy stuff I think, but as far as being able to adjust parameters, timing, and fuel control, unless you get a full standalone, I think the rtek seems like a pretty viable option. This is somewhat vague, I'm not an expert, but I hope it helps!

You can use a SAFC-NEO fuel controller to regulate things too. Even running low boost with bigger injectors for safety, the car will be way too rich throughout the RPM range if you don't control it.
