Seven Stock XI - September 26-27, 2008 Caravan

What: Seven Stock XI www.sevenstock.org
When: Friday, Sept 26 - Sun Sept 28, 2008
Where:
Friday: K1 Speed Irvine
17221 Von Karman Ave,
Irvine, CA 92614

Saturday: Mazda North America Corporate HQ
7755 Irvine Center Dr.
Irvine, CA 92623

Hotel/Lodging: Doubletree Hotel Irvine-Spectrum
90 Pacifica Avenue, Irvine, California, USA 92618
1-800/222-TREE or 949/471-8888

SoCal RX Club Rate: $105 per night Fri-Sun (Sept 26-28)
(Monday-Thursday per night are $159 taxes not included)
Parking $7 per night with in and out privileges.

The Plan? Who wants to drive? Who wants to fly? Would anyone like to split any costs for driving and lodging?
I'm willing to coordinate everything as long as I know who's going and what they want to do.

I personally would LOVE to drive down there for one and if there are enough drivers and a passenger, I will drive or be the passenger. Otherwise, I will be flying and renting a car down there. Let me know people!

I plan on driving down, would like a co-pilot to split fuel costs. I'm also willing to share a double bed room with a guy (Sorry RX7_GRL I don't know you that well , but your welcome to drive down with me )

Was planning on driving down there Thursday and driving back Sunday.

Seeing how long of a drive it is (even in a turbo7) I think anyone that oges should have a co pilot to share in the driving duties. Mai you and me are going together, should we both take our cars or ride together ?

I would welcome a passenger, but not a co-pilot.. I don't let any one drive my car any more since last time I did it came back with 130C coolant temps... and this was a performance car shop owner.

I might be going depending on my financial situation/work/school...

Oh, come on, if you split the bill and adjust AFRs to say 18:1 cruising it shouldn't be that much more expensive that a flight.

But you can't get on from time to time, so they'res no fun in that.

The Hotel is within walking distance (2 blocks) to the event. So you don't need to rent a car unless you're going site seeing. The hotel has an airport shuttle + they'll even take you to the strip mall for food or shopping.

Hold on, shouldn't this thread say September??
damn with gas prices now it's. $500 round trip in just gas. Or $250 round trip for a flight.

Hey Mark, Aaron, and Mai I could always jump in and split costs with one of you.
Just give me the heads up, and we can see if we can get something working.

oh snap it should say September... hahaha...sorry i got ahead of myself. As for the driving thing. Sounds like those who are driving dont know if they will be going yet...and those who are flying think its cheaper that way. I was planning on showing up to the meet in a RX7 ...*sigh* but now I think it probably would be better to fly and just get a great weekend rate for a rental that weekend.

Gene, you're picking me up at the airport! =P

The events are on the website www.seventstock.org. I would list it but it may change so its best if you just check on there.

JD, I'll let you know what my plans are when it gets closer. A friend of mine from Tejas talked about flying up and driving down with me, so if he ends up doing that I sort of have to honor his request.

And yeah, Mai, I probably won't know until it's way closer.. it starts right about the same time my college starts back up, so right now I'm sort of thinking it probably won't happen.
