True Goal: Get 6.25 (That will tie Padilla's record)

Just dropped off my motor at RMS this week and saw the RX7. Awesome stuff.

I got some vid of last night. Some of my rx2 and Rene's rx7. I will post a vid soon.

 

Well I got a short vid of last night. Rene and I were the only rotories out at the track. Were was everyone!!!!!!

I was hoping for a low 8 second pass but my best time was an 8.9 at 82.5 mph with a crappy 2.1 60ft. I had to peddle the street tires of the line thus the bad 60ft time. With that mph I should be in the low 8's high 7's with a decent rearend and slicks and I still need to tune the motor a bit more.

Rene had a good pass with a 6.54 at 105mph. Looks like the car had a little stumble off the line but it was pulling at the top end really well. I don't know if he made another pass as I had to go. All in all it was a good time and I look forward to doing it again with hopefully more rotary support. C'mon guys bring your cars out.

Nope, no diet, Rx7 weighs 2100lbs fully loaded.Just stumble on some good power.
Tuning is the issue,You get a little here and there with some good data.

 

Holy ****, just watched the videos. Car is fast as *****. You're trapping faster than me in the 1/8 mile than I do in the 1/4. That's pretty nuts.

Very nice, the onboard camera looked like it was having a minor heart attack trying to keep up with your car How much power does the 1st gen make, it's obviously light as a feather... any more details on the car (gearing, is the thing carbed or EFI?). Nice work and much props.

Now how many passes do you guys typically get in a day/night? I'd love to come out to practice my launch.
