How hard is it to install FD struts and springs?
Money is TIGHT right now so if it is fairly easy to install ill do it myself. the kit im looking at is Tokico Illumina suspension kit, and it comes with all four struts and springs and I think the springs are already installed on the struts? http://www.autocarparts.com/part/262/31/
anyway, is it a straightforward installation or backbreaking?

Super easy. Very straight foreward. Just keep the stock springs and struts as a unit and upbolt them from the body, and the lower a arm. If its your first time it might take you a few hours, but it will make sense when you get in there.
I would check the for sale section for a set of cheap coilovers, or just springs and struts. You will get a much better there, rather than buying new.

very easy, just pick up a cheap spring compressor from advance auto parts or autozone and they will just rent it to you. you give them like 50 bucks and you get your money back when you are done. Prolly take you like 2 hours for the complete job
Just be very careful when loosening or tightening the top center nut. The threads are very easy to damage and strip. If you feel *any* extra resistance don't continue. Cover those threads with masking tape until you get the shock assembly in the car.
