Do you miss your stock bodied FD since you put a kit

Just wondering how many people there are like me, every now and then I tend to miss the way my car was before I went crazy with the exterior .

I do love my car the way it look's, but there are times that I just miss it when it was stock bodied, who know's i may go back to it.

So how many are there that feel the same way?

Its no wonder you miss your stock bodied FD with that body kit. Nothing better than 99 spec plateless.

For me it's all about the stock body of the most beautiful car Japan have ever produced.
99 Spec front, FEED splitter, and Feed carbon sidesteps, with a despoiler and 96+ tail lights.
Drop it slightly, and some wide, low offset wheels, and you're there.

I can appreciate what you've done to your car, and like the tuner style, but for me i just can't get over how pretty the stock body is, and think it's a shame to spoil it.

Considering your car now looks like it belongs in F&F minus a few stickers i'd definalty miss the stock body. I'd convert it back or atleast close, maybe a 99 spec bumper and some suttle sideskirts or something.

I always liked your FD with the stock body. It sure looks badass now... but it just doesn't do it for me. Hell, sometimes I even regret going with a '99 spec bumper.

The only thing that I really regret is not removing the stock R1 wing when I painted the car. I liked it for about a month, and now I hate it. lol

I like both cars personally. I am a race fan, so I like the aggressive look of your current time attack theme. But I also love the stock bodied 7's. I think your solution should be to buy another 7, and keep it stock. Your car is way to beautiful to take apart...

Just my $0.02

I like both honestly. I am a huge fan of what you've done with the car -- the white and carbon look is completely BA to me.

Right now I'm thinking of these things somewhat, as I try to plan out what (if anything) I want to do with my FD's exterior...

Yo Kai. Leave your car the way it is. I mean that. All these guys saying, go stock, go stock. Why would you do that? Your car is amazing, with not just a bodykit, you've got a re body kit. How many people have your kit here in the states? Shiet it's the same kit on the green personal owned fd of mr. amemiya himself. If you do decide to change something though, I would only change the front bumper. Leave everything else the same, and go with a plated 99 front bumper with a MS carbon lip. Good luck with your decision. You have my vote.

And to the comment above about F&F, you have no idea. There was no such re kit in ANY of those movies. I feel people like you see any bodykit on any car will think it's F&F.

I would have done a 99 with plate front on your stock bodied picture and call it a day.

Nothing beats a 99 converted FD w/skirts dropped on some nice wheels.

But your car is still nice, at least you overdone it nice. Its just not most of us prefer if i must say.

I know what you are saying Kai…. I think the reason being is that the stock bodied FD really is beautiful and that’s why you miss it sometimes.

I’m right there with you and I’m no where near the level of body mods as you (seibon scoot style hood, Pre auto sleeks, apexi style sides, 99 style plateless bumper). It’s extremely tough not to miss the stock body. That’s why when I changed the color of my car I had all of my stock body parts (that I had previously removed) painted as well.

The only thing I don’t miss about the stock FD is the wheels. I find them an eye sore.

LOL at all the purists and haters. You have one of the most beautiful and UNIQUE fds on here. I would take a well put together unique fd then the same old 99spec body kit which I never really liked. Theirs a reason YOU bought that body kit, its because you liked it and didnt care what people thought about on here. I absolutely HATE people who run around here trying to impress other members by conforming to forum standards.

I bought mine bone stock and i have never felt the urge to want to go back to stock.

Mine started out like this

to this

and finally it looks like this

Some people dont like the lights or the rear bumper or always find something to critique. But I personally dont care because its exactly how i want it and wouldnt change it for no one.

I've only seen the first one because I cant stand the cars that are in them. Just because that exact body kit isn't in the movie doesn't make it not look riced out... Absolutely no need for a giant platform wing and riveted side skirts that look out of place.

No offense to the OP; he just asked for our opinion.

That is quite a transformation when you put them next to each other! I have barely done anything to mine and I wish I had just left her alone. LOL

But your car looks great the way it is now and can turn quite a few heads!! I think if many folks had their way they would own two and leave one alone and experiment with the other.
