CT meet locations for 08, ideas??

Hey guys, post up some ideas for some meet locations through out the state.

We have done the following:

Bridgeport great location off of 95 with plenty of parking

Hooters in Newington what can be better the wings rotors and girls?

BK in Stamford great area to meet up and hang Friday nights

Norwalk can't remember the name of the beach, nice and easy to get too

LimeRock hey this year we need to go in style, not just me and Jason

Any other ideas????

John

Simsburys not that close to the MA border. I used to work there. Newington would be 1/2or so from you.

I like Newington for the fact that you can have some fun on the Berling Turnpike and yeah, the girls. Great central location

Marcus Dairy gets my vote becuase my car won't be warmed up by the time I get there.

BK in Stamford - Parkway Diner has great milkshakes or across the street to Starbucks you can go and my backroads home are just so incredible.

Limerock I'd love to get to. What are the chances of a trackday there?

All of this seems concentrated in the west though. How many eastern guys are there?

Anywhere so A-Rod can surely make it and not have excuses like the last meet (also the last meet of the year)

Not my fault that your loser friend drives into the boonies and leaves foreign exchange students in the woods, and I have to look for them until 7am...

its extremly hard b/c there are alot of clubs (ie: porsche, aston martin...) that have been going there for years and have the same days. then also they have the new club at lime rock which has its own days for the track. dont get me wrong, a day at lime rock would be awsome but, it just dosnt seem to realistic.

it would be very difficult to join in on a track day at limerock because they limit the number of cars that can drive. Especially for a club like pda, they are very picky about who drives and how many people are there. They pay a lot of money and want their track time. It probably would be possible to rent out the track for the day, but that would not be cheap.

Danbury has my vote.

There are a few autocross clubs that have track days as well. That would probably be the cheapeast way to get in - join a club that already has an in. Lime-rock got rather picky after a few to many yuppies wrecked their cars and decided to sue the track. Damn yuppies

Hey guys. We did Limerock last year because we had a Mazda Corral with the Mazda 6 guys and had a whole day to hang with the Speedsource RX8 race crew. It was a great experience, but Jason and myself where the only ones who went. It's a great ride up and alot of fun to see the cars, can you say 20B RX 8!!!!!!!

yup yup speedsource connect baby!. It was fun talking to the whole speedsource team, rocking our mazdaspeed gear and chilling in the pitts, where else can you get all that for a few bucks and so close to the tristate area. This year im going and will def try to get more people.

Oh did i mention that we drove on the Limerock track with Mazda 3, 6, proteges, miatas, rotarys, etc!!!

tHIS was around may of last year. I dont know why you werent informed. You would be informed by 3 ways.

1. If you came to any of the earlier meets around april/may you would of known
2. You were a member of the NYRA/CTRA forums, then you would of received updates about this event.
3. Check the NYRA website religously =)

Dont worry this year ima get everyone invloved early on like in end of January before the main ROLEX GRAND AM series begins in Florida (24 hrs at seabring) <~~which i plan on attending if the money is right.

Limerock is the closest many of us can make it too so ima def push for that, we also will be setting up Watkin Glens in Upstate NY and Mid Ohio, im working with Marlon Sumlin of Cleaveland 6 club and Ray Gonzalvo of Mazda6club, and Mazdaspeed.

Updates will follow.

Also attend CTRA meets =)
