garrett 4094 on c16 vrs 07 R1?
Kinda in the wrong section but just curious if anyone has raced or knows much about the Yamaha R-1? I have a guy down the street with a stock 07 thats wants to run my once I am tuned. Say I get down with the tune and make 550-600. Will that be enough? I know these bikes are bad ***!

yes that should be enough. i keep up with 600's and have 385whp. i raced a r1 once and lost by about 3-4 car lengths from 70-140mph, i also had around 350-360whp at the time, but bikes are funny it depends alot on the rider, i didnt believe it until i seen someone in a 600 riping up 1000's to 160mph.

When it comes down to it, a good rider will make the bike fast. A bad driver will make a 700hp car slow.
I say, get him to bring one of his domestic V-8 buddies into a cash roll race...40-140.

I rode an 06 and I ran the 1/4 mile in 10.55 - 138 mph. The bike was stock and could easily go faster if I could get out of the hole better. I'd say, a street race from a 30mph roll would be tough. I would say start the race at around 80mph for you best chance.
From a weight to power POV:
RX7 with driver 3000lbs /550hp = 5.45
R1 with rider 600 lbs / 165hp = 3.64
