Man, that is a damn shame...RX-7 mechanics as in dealership or an independent shop or some guy working out of a shack named Gabriel (fill in a last name here starting with a G...)

Rapid Rotary did that to the fender and the door (above the door handle) on a freshly painted '79 back in '92. Yes, my memory is that good. I remember it because it was that shocking to me.

I hate it when you have a belt and you lean ocer in the hood and are working, and the metal part of the belt makes tiny scratches in the paint, pisses me off. They come off with a lot of rubbing though with some cleaner.

Ray, been ther and done that. i chipped the front bumper of my 88 10AE yesterday when i was putting the engine in. that p[issed me off. once many years ago when i was youger and stupid, i got so angry with my 7 that i punched a HUGE dent into the roof next to the sunroof. i'll never do that crap again. i do use a fender cover as much as possible though.

I think something like that did happen blwfly when I leaned on the fender with my keys in my pocket and made at least some of those dents in the fenders.

Moral of story: Take your keys out of your pocket before you get pissed at your Nikki

And yeah, one of those fender covers would be an intelligent thing to do, after taking the keys out of your pocket.
