Having driven LS1 powered FDs, there is no downside. The car actually has torque, and you will not notice a difference in handling or chassis balance. The only thing is some people feel it takes the soul out of the rx-7

Get the hell out of here, V8 boy
Shouldn't you be out drinking your face off at a bar somewhere like a good ukie
forget that then i like my car but it has no soul. plus i run an 11.9 quater mile and still get 22 miles to the gallon. plus i have had 2 trans ams and the rx7 is sweeter.. now i know

So what's your point? I've gotten better mpg than that on the highway, and any proper single turbo FD will whoop that quarter mile time

yeah but still. if i had a good single turbo look what i could do. plus torque is more fun, and the ls1 fits better in the rx7 than in the trans am. it was a match made for each other. but the rotary is still a cool idea. that small and put out that much power its cool. but it sounds like a mad beehive
