boost reading question

where does the ecu read boost from? i have a boost gauge hooked up, but when loggin on the palm boost doent go it stays in vacume but on my gauge it show me correct boost and vacume levels. how do get palm to read the boost? its probly a wiring issue unless thers a place to hook up vacume on the ecu. thank u in advance for any useful information sorry if it a stupid question just trying to get every thing workin correctly.

Are you sure it stays in vacuum? The reading is a little ambiguous in the current release version. I think we made it a little more clear in the next version. Can you post a log of the boost sensor while driving/boosting?

Whats your vacuum at idle on the Rtek? Does it match the mechanical gauge?

To answer your question both the ECU and the dash gauge get fed from the MAP sensor. Make sure the hose to the sensor isn't cracked. Make sure the MAP sensor is the right map sensor and not an NA sensor. Make sure you don't have an FCD installed. A wiring issue probably wouldn't cause the failure mode you are seeing.

reading stay between 21.4-21.6in/Hg ill try posting a log i have no FCD installed and im almost positive it is the correct map sensor how would i check if it is different? vacume at idle does not match wut my guage says it just stays between 21.4-21.6in/Hg

Oh, ok, that sounds like a wiring problem or bad sensor. I assumed it read vaccuum correctly and stopped when you hit boost.

Any check codes listed in the diag section?

im am an idoit found out it was do to a bad connection cleaned and reattaced works perfectly now . thank you for ur help. i have one more question not related but similar under diagnosic mode it tells me there is is no reading from the o2 sensor and while loggin it reads 0 volts i replaced 02 and reconnected it and have the same results wut would be the best way to ensure power to the o2? if i rewire the whole thing back to the ecu wut pin is it that i have to rewire from?

If it always read 0v, even under decel with a new sensor then most likely there's
a wiring problem. O2 sensor is pin 2D. Try measuring the resistance from this pin
on the connector at the ECU to the O2 sensor connector.

If it reads above 0v during decel, then most likely its that the ECU is not going into
closed loop operation.
